Postponement of Host Venue Libya for the 2026 Optimist African Championship

After careful review,  International Optimist Dinghy Association (IODA) regrets to announce that the mandatory requirements needed to hold the 2026 African Optimist Championship in Libya unfortunately cannot be met at this time.  As a result, IODA sincerely regrets to announce the postponement of Libya as the host venue for 2026.

We are very grateful to the Libyan Sailing Federation for their cooperation and commitment throughout the planning process, and we look forward to collaborating on future events when circumstances allow.
